This photo could be called a star’s last hurrah.

Nasa’s Hubble Space Telescope was able to capture the end of a star similar to our sun.

The burned-out star is the white dot in the center of the photo. Around the white dwarf is a nebula created by the star casting off its outer layers of gas.

The star’s ultraviolet light causes the material to glow and creates these beautiful images.

Our sun will eventually burn out and do the same but it won’t happen for another five billion years.
