Trooper spots giant Trump head in passenger seat, cites driver for carpool lane violation

AUBURN, Wash. -- A Washington State Patrol trooper caught someone illegally using the carpool lane Tuesday morning... and in a pretty unique way.

Trooper Greg Ulrich must have thought the passenger's head seemed much larger than average as the car passed by on SR 167 in Auburn.

As it turns out, that driver should not have been in the HOV lane at all. The passenger turned out to be a cardboard cutout of Donald Trump's head attached to the headrest.

"WSP Motorcycle Trooper Greg Ulrich stopped a vehicle this morning NB 167 in Auburn for violating the HOV lane. Do you know why ?"

Troopers told Q13 News that violators face a minimum fine of $136.
