Man, 20, charged with murder in Tukwila slaying

SEATTLE -- A 20-year-old man is being held on $3 million bail in connection with a drug deal that left one man dead and another injured just south of Seattle.

Our news partner The Seattle Times reports that Treston Baladez-Carrillo was charged Thursday with murder, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is accused of fatally shooting Bryan Dominguez Navarro on Aug. 14 as the 18-year-old victim sat in a vehicle parked outside a Tukwila apartment complex. Navarro's 23-year-old friend had also been in the vehicle and suffered several gunshot wounds.

The friend was taken to a hospital for treatment, and Navarro died at the scene.

Court documents say Baladez-Carrillo had arranged to meet Navarro the day of the shooting to purchase a half-pound of marijuana from him.
