13-year-old boy shot outside apartment complex in Everett



EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was shot in Everett Friday.


The Daily Herald reports (https://goo.gl/Hwl0M5 ) the shooting occurred on a road outside an apartment building and near an elementary school at about 12:15 p.m. Friday.

Everett police officer Aaron Snell says they boy is expected to survive. Police were searching for at least two suspects, and students at the nearby school were kept there for a time due to police activity.

It was the second shooting in the neighborhood in recent days. An 18-year-old man was shot Sept. 9. He also was expected to survive.
