Carroll on Wilson: 'We're going to look at it - he got in a really bad situation'

SEATTLE – This probably isn’t what you want to hear, but we’ll have to wait to find out the extent of Russell Wilson’s injury.

Wilson hurt his ankle when he was sacked by Ndamukong Suh during the third quarter of the Seattle Seahawks’ 12-10 win over the Miami Dolphins at CenturyLink Field on Sunday.

“We’re going to look at it,” Carroll said. “He got in a really bad situation there ...

“How tough can he be? It didn’t even  faze him. I mean, not even for an instant was he fazed about that.”

Wilson was noticeably limping after the hit, and was soon examined on the bench of the sideline before heading to the training table. He was noticeably slowed by the injury for the remainder of the game, though he did lead the game-winning drive.

“It’s a little sore but I’ll be alright,” Wilson said after the game.

“I keep telling the guys, I’ll play on one leg if I have to."

Backup quarterback Trevone Boykin immediately began warming up on the sideline, but never entered the game.

Wilson said there was "no shot" he wasn't going to return to the game.

"I was pretty limited, but I was telling Coach Carroll and some of the trainers, when I'm 43, 44, 45 years old, that's probably what I'll look like out there."
