7 students hospitalized after bus skids off road and into a creek

OSCEOLA, Iowa -- Seven students were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries after their school bus skidded off the road and into a creek just north of Osceola, Iowa.

Authorities suspect the driver lost control on the bus on a curve. Weather is believed to have played a role in the crash.

"It's a lucky day. It really is," said Steve Seid Superintendent of Clark Community Schools. "You never know what the outcome is going to be in situations like this. And to have our students and driver to be able to appear to be doing well, that's really a good day."

In the above video, you can see the that the front part of the bus detached and is twisted on its side.
