Washington man denied bail after cops find 'hit list' with 20 names on it

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A Washington man has been ordered held without bail after prosecutors say he threatened to kill co-workers, doctors and state employees.

The Tri-City Herald reports that prosecutors say the 57-year-old Hanford worker had a "hit list" with 20 names of people to kill over his medical treatment and denied claims.

Court documents say the man specifically threatened to track the people down and "blow their heads off."

Police say he was arrested Friday after a regional SWAT team was sent to his home out of concern that he might have been armed or had mental health issues.

Court documents say police learned about the hit list through a man who believes his name is on the list and thinks the suspect intended to carry out the threats.
