SEATTLE — We know, the races and issues on the November ballot can be complex, so we are bringing you interviews with the candidates in the big races and in-depth stories about the initiatives and ballot measures.
In this segment, we’re going to focus on the race for superintendent of public instruction. This is the state’s top educator, who works with the state’s 295 school districts to make sure schools are assessing students, meeting performance standards and are financially sound.
Now, we’re going to focus on her opponent — state Rep. Chris Reykdal, D-Tumwater. He’s been a teacher, school board member and executive for the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.
