Minor 3.2 earthquake rattles area east of Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A magnitude 3.2 quake rattled the area east of Bellingham Tuesday night.

The U. S. Geological Survey says the minor earthquake occurred at about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday night. It was centered about 3 miles northeast of Sudden Valley, a community to the east of Bellingham.

The USGS says more than 140 people reported feeling the quake as of Wednesday morning.
