Police investigating reported sexual assault at WSU fraternity

PULLMAN -- Police are investigating a reported sexual assault and another incident that occurred at the same Washington State University fraternity house this weekend.

Around 7 p.m. Friday evening, officers received a call that a 18-year-old WSU student was being treated at the Pullman Regional Hospital following a possible sexual assault, Pullman police said.

Officers contacted the victim, who said she was at the Delta Upsilon fraternity at 815 NE Ruby Street when she was provided alcohol and sexually assaulted.

Then around 2 a.m. Saturday, officers were again called to the hospital where they contacted a 17-year-old female WSU student. The student told police she was given alcohol at the Delta Upsilon fraternity and became seriously ill.

Investigators served a search warrant Saturday afternoon to the fraternity, where they contacted a possible suspect in regards to the sexual assault investigation. The possible suspect was interviewed, police said, but was not arrested pending additional investigation.

The Office of Student Conduct at Washington State University was notified of the police investigations.
