Tyler Lockett had a terrifying moment at the NFL combine

RENTON, Wash. - What was supposed to be one of the best days of Tyler Lockett's life turned out to be one of the scariest instead.

The second-year wide receiver talked about the scary moment during an exclusive interview with the official home of the Seahawks, Q13 FOX. The Seahawks play their final preseason game at 7 p.m. Thursday night in Oakland against the Raiders.

Lockett said he had to get an EKG before the combine, and was told his aorta was born on the opposite side of his body from most people and that if it were to move, he wouldn't be able to play football.

Moreover, an unidentified team he spoke to at the combine said that if he got hit hard in his heart area, he might die from the impact.

"I went to a really great doctor and he was like, 'You're totally fine. None of that stuff is going to happen at all.' He was like, 'You have nothing to worry about.'"

Still, Lockett said, he was scared while undergoing a CT-Scan "because this will tell me if I'm going to play."

Instead, the wide receiver said, he "went from possibly not being able to play ... to going to everything" in his rookie year, including the Pro Bowl.

Asked what he thought he would be doing if he wasn't playing football, Lockett said, "For me, everything I want to do comes through this (football). So I want to do a little bit of acting ... I want to do a little bit of movie trailers, like videos ... to be able to open up my life, share my experiences, things I might go through in games, whatever."
