Family with 4 children threatened at gunpoint in Renton home invasion robbery

RENTON, Wash. -- Detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery overnight targeting a family with four adults and four children in Renton.

Police say several men broke down the back door of a home in the 800 block of Pierce Ave NE just before 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.

All of them were armed with handguns and threatened the family at gunpoint for several minutes before leaving with several items,according to police.

The four suspects were described as black males in their early 20s with average builds and black hair.  One wore a gray sweatshirt and dark pants, another was dressed all in black clothing, one wore a grey hooded sweat shirt and one wore a khaki “puffy” jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
