SR-522 in Bothell reopens following single-car rollover crash

BOTHELL -- State Route 522 was closed in both directions Monday morning near downtown Bothell after a single-car rollover crash, officials said.

Police received word a single-car rollover crash occurred around 1 a.m. in the 17300 block of SR-522. A male driver was extricated from his vehicle and transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The crash took out power lines, and officials closed SR-522 for hours. The roadway reopened at 8:30 a.m., officials said, but large traffic backups remained.

Police are investigating the crash. They said initial indications show the driver was intoxicated.
