Explosions heard after huge fire erupts at Puyallup School District bus garage (LIVE UPDATES)





PUYALLUP, Wash. -- A large fire erupted Wednesday afternoon at the Puyallup School District bus garage, sending flames and plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky.

Police first tweeted about the fire just before 2:30 p.m. saying that there are road closures in the area of W Stewart Ave & 12th St NW.

According to Puyallup police, explosions were heard coming from the fire.



Central Pierce Fire and rescue said there were no injuries to report. Firefighters said they were gaining control of the fire around 3:00 p.m.

School has not yet started in the district.
