'Boxer Shorts Bandit:' Help identify crook who stole from Goodwill store, pulled knife on workers

GOODWILLWANTED IN SEATTLE --
Seattle Police are asking for the public's help to identify this ‘Boxer Shorts Bandit.’

Detectives say he pulled a knife and threatened loss prevention officers after stealing underwear from Goodwill at 1400 S. Lane St. on July 24th.

“He actually loads up an entire shopping cart worth of stuff, but what does he take? Underwear,” said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “Two loss prevention officers who had been watching him on camera chased him outside. They demand to see the items he stole. He refuses and he starts running and he falls down, when he jumps up he's got a knife and he points it at them. They tackle him, take the knife from him and the suspect gets up and runs, so we have a strong-armed robbery here.”

He was last seen running southbound on Dearborn Pl. S.

He escaped with the skivvies.

The suspect is white, about 6'02” with thinning grey hair and a buzz cut. He was wearing a dirty white short-sleeve shirt and black track pants with the elastic at the ankles. He also wore black Nike shoes and had a black Case Logic satchel.
