14-year-old in stolen car causes 3-car crash in Tacoma, WSP says

TACOMA – A 14-year-old driving a stolen car caused a three-car crash in Tacoma on Thursday morning, Washington State Patrol trooper Todd Bartolac said.

Bartolac said troopers clocked the teenager driving 77 mph in the HOV lane on I-5, sparking a chase that continued to Highway 7 and then on to side streets.

It finally ended after the crash at Pioneer and Waller.

The teenager wasn’t hurt, but one person in one of the other cars had minor injuries.
