WATCH: Momma Bear to the rescue when 3 of her cubs get swept over waterfall (VIDEO)

KATMAI NATIONAL PARK, Alaska -- A mother bear nicknamed Grazer was standing at the top of Brooks Falls recently, patiently waiting to snatch some jumping salmon out of the air for dinner, when she suddenly noticed that one of her cubs had been swept over the waterfall.

She didn't seem to know what to do at first, but then her second cub went over, too. That's when Momma Bear's instincts kicked in and she rushed to the rescue.

This video posted by the nonprofit explore.org, which runs a 24-hour bear camera at the site in partnership with the National Park Service,  has been viewed nearly 1.3 million times.

Explore.org wrote on its Facebook page: "And the Mother of the Year award goes to... Grazer!!! All 3 of her cubs ended up going over the falls, thankfully they are all ok!"
