'War dog' reunited with his partner, six years after they served together in Middle East

CHELAN , Wash. -- Six years is way too long to be separated from your best friend.

Chelan County sheriff’s deputy Mike Lamon was reunited Friday with Adam, a K-9 he trained and brought with him to work on a bomb team in the Middle East.

Adam stayed behind to work, but Lamon had long held out hope he’d be reunited with his pal.

Friday, he was – and he had the jitters to prove it.

“My palms are sweating, I’m sweating,” Lamon said as he was waiting for the reunion at Sea-Tac International Airport. “I’m a little beside myself.”

The two were reunited thanks to a friend of Lamon, who works with a group called Mission K-9.
