Teenager seriously hurt after rollover crash in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A Bellevue teenager was seriously injured in a rollover crash Monday night.

Bellevue police were called around 10 p.m. to the 5200 block of Highland Drive. When officers arrived, they found a car in the middle of the road on its roof. No other vehicles appeared to be involved.

There were four teens inside of the car. One of them was trapped and had to be removed using heavy rescue equipment. That person suffered serious injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The three others, including the driver, are all between 16 and 18 years old. They suffered only minor injuries.

Investigators believe speed and drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
