Seattle Humane Society's food bank is completely out of cat food

SEATTLE – It’s the perfect time to step up, animal lovers.

The Seattle Humane Society said Tuesday afternoon that it’s Pet Food Bank is completely out of cat food.

The Pet Food Bank collects donations for the pets of low-income people, feeding close to 2,000 pets a month with eight tons of donated food.

The food is delivered to local senior centers, low-income housing complexes, food banks and houses.

The Humane Society says income-qualified seniors get monthly pet food, and other people can get one-time emergency supplies of pet food.
