WANTED IN EDMONDS --
The photo above shows the end result of a dangerous getaway in Edmonds after police tried pulling over a man Monday night who took off and then crashed.

Officers say the driver -- Joshua Blackwood -- not only survived the wreck, but ran from it and hasn't been seen since.

Edmonds Police Sgt. Shane Hawley says it started when an officer witnessed Blackwood driving recklessly. "He cut someone off. Almost caused a collision. Went to stop him and he decided to take off. Wove in and out of traffic. Officer gave chase for a very short period of time, because of the way he was driving and putting other people in danger. He ended up crashing his car a short distance later. Officer came on scene, found the car crashed, he's scrambling to get out of it and he takes off running. We tried a K9 track, couldn't get him that way, but you know, with how he was driving, putting other people at risk, you know, we'd like to encourage Mr. Blackwood to simply just come to the station and turn himself in."

Detectives think the three prior warrants Blackwood has for his arrest likely fueled his reason to run. One of the his warrants is for reckless driving, so being bad behind the wheel's nothing new to Blackwood.

The tattoo he has on his neck says 'Family.'
