Bothell police investigate death of nearly 2-year-old child at day care center

BOTHELL, Wash. -- The Bothell Police Department and the Department of Early Learning are investigating the death of a toddler at a day care facility in Bothell.

Bothell police said that medics were called out to the Kid’s Corner Childcare Center and Montessori Program on 185th Street NE around 8:45 a.m. Friday.

Crews responded to reports of a child having difficulty breathing.

Medics tried to revive the child but had no luck and the child died.

Officials say the child was almost 2 years old.

At this time there is no information about what led up to the child having difficulty breathing.

The day care center remained opened throughout the day.

No one at the child care facility was immediately available to comment.
