Stolen car crashed after going wrong way down I-5

EVERETT, Wash. – Everett police arrested a woman accused of stealing a truck and driving the wrong way down Interstate 5.

Police say the woman was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of I-5 between Marysville and Everett passing several cars at high speeds Sunday morning around 9:30 a.m.

The 32-year-old driver exited the highway at the Everett Mall exit where she hit three cars, police say.  She was able to get out of the stolen vehicle and hide in the woods.  A police K-9 found her and officers took her into custody.

She was taken to a local hospital before being booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Police said the people in the three cars that were hit suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
