Sounders FC fall 1-0 to LA in first of three meetings this month

SEATTLE - The Seattle Sounders FC fell 1-0 to the LA Galaxy Saturday afternoon. Los Angeles scored in the first half as Robbie Keane finished a shot off an assist from Gyasi Zardes. Sounders would have their chances, 22 in fact. That is how many shots on goal the team would have with 16 of those coming inside the box. But Seattle would continue to struggle to find the back of the net.

Clint Dempsey returned to the line up for the first time since Copa America. Chad Marshall got the start as well while Brad Evans didn't make the 18 with the calf injury.

Sounders return to action Wednesday at Centurylink Field hosting FC Dallas.
