YELLOW PINE, Idaho (AP) _ Authorities are seeking information on the illegal killing of a moose calf near the community of Yellow Pine in central Idaho.

Idaho Fish and Game officials say the calf was poached near Riordon Lake and left to rot sometime before last weekend.

Officials are asking anyone who observed vehicles at trailheads in the area between June 30 and July 2 to contact authorities.

Officials say they’ve already interviewed several visitors and are working on leads in the case.
