Mailbox Mayhem: Woman's credit card stolen from her apartment complex; help identify crook who cashed-in on crime

MAIL THEFTWANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY --
I can't stress this enough: Please, do all you can to NOT have important personal documents like credit cards and checks sent to your mailbox.

A Tacoma woman is dealing with the havoc that Pierce County detectives say the suspect pictured above wreaked with her identity -- after a credit card was stolen out of her mail at her apartment complex.

The surveillance photos show the suspect using the card at the AM/PM mini mart on 112th and Steele St. in Tacoma.

The suspect was driving the white, 4-door car you see below.

"In this particular case, the credit card was stolen out of a mailbox so it's important to maybe have your cards mailed to your bank where you can go pick them up,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. “Mail theft is a rising issue because it's really easy pickings to get somebody's credit card or checks and then go abuse them and steal somebody's ID. We really like to catch these guys, because when we catch people doing this, we know they're making a living at it, so when they're making a living at it they're doing crime on a daily basis, so for every few we pull off the streets and every group we catch, we put a nice dent in crime."

Take another good look at the guy and the hat he's wearing: It's dark blue with a red bill and a what looks like a really unique white logo on it, or what could be the letters ‘DOE.’
