TACOMA, Wash. – An 81-year-old Tacoma man pled guilty on Friday to the New Year’s Eve stabbing death of his daughter, and was sentenced to 8 ½ years in prison.

Tamara Fabre was living with her father, Milton Cletus Fabre, when she died. Police were called to their home in the 7000 block of Fawcett at around 7:30 on Dec. 31, 2015, after somebody reported a domestic dispute regarding a knife.

They said when they got there, Milton Fabre told them his 49-year-old daughter was on the kitchen floor and needed help.

When police went inside, they found Tamara Fabre dead on the floor with a large cut to her throat.
