13-year-old boy arrested for arson in Mill Creek in April, police say

MILL CREEK, Wash. -- A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for the arson and total loss of a 35th Avenue SE job shack that occurred on April 30, Mill Creek Police said Friday.

"Additionally, the suspect has admitted involvement in vandalism to construction equipment at the same location as well as a minor property damage fire at a nearby park in unincorporated Snohomish County," the police said in a news release.

Investigators have not linked the suspect to the two recent attempted arson fires in the Highland Hills area but continue to work leads, police said.

Investigators will work with juvenile prosecutors next week on charges. The juvenile has been released to his father, police said.
