Trooper saves hawk on I-405 near Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD, Wash. - A Washington state trooper had a special passenger in his car Saturday.

The trooper was on I-405 near Lynnwood when he saved a baby red-tailed hawk that had fallen out of a nest.

The trooper let the eagle ride shotgun to PAWS where the hawk is being evaluated.

The bird is in "stable, but guarded" condition pending the results of more tests, the organization said Sunday.
