NORTH BEND, Wash. -- Snoqualmie Police responded in minutes to the Crime Stoppers tip that said Washington's Most Wanted fugitive Shaun Tubbs had been spotted in a mobile home park in the 43000 block of SE North Bend Way in North Bend.  The call came in at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Snoqualmie Police Capt. Nick Almquist says because of Tubbs' long history of violence, they requested help from King County's Tactical Unit.  Tubbs was not located and is still on the run.

Detectives say they have probable cause to arrest him for more than 10 new felony crimes including Theft of Motor Vehicle, Trafficking Stolen Property, Theft 1, Theft of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Eluding.

"He's a menace to society. Some of his most recent crimes include stealing a moving van. A family was getting ready to move. They loaded up the moving van with a trailer and truck attached to it -- he stole everything," said Sgt. Jason Houck with the King County Sheriff's Office.  Tubbs also has misdemeanor warrants for Obstructing and drugs in North Bend.

A fugitive on the run from the law usually keeps his head down, which is why I was surprised when Tubbs posted on my Facebook page.   KIRO Radio's Ron and Don Show talked about the post that you can read here in their story.

According to investigators, he has recently made comments to friends that he will not go back to jail and if cornered, will “go for a gun".  If you can tell officers where to find him, call the Crime Stoppers hot line anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You will never be asked to give your name and there is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
