Police: Man dies in Seattle shooting; elderly man a suspect

SEATTLE (AP) — Authorities say a man shot Thursday night in South Seattle has died from his injuries.


Seattle police said in the news release the 51-year-old man died Friday.

Police were called to the 10200 block of 62nd Avenue South just after 9 p.m. Thursday. They said they found a man on the ground outside a home with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Investigators say they believe the shooting involved a 94-year-old man who lived in the house and that investigators are still working to determine what occurred. The elderly suspect was interviewed and released pending the outcome of the investigation.
