Man found shot, seriously injured outside home in South Seattle; another man in custody



SEATTLE -- A man was found shot in the chest outside a home in the 10200 block of 62nd Avenue South Thursday night, police said. He was rushed to the hospital with a life-threatening injury, police said.

"A neighbor called 911 to report a gunshot ... just after 9 pm Thursday," the Seattle Police Department said on its online blotter. "Officers arrived and found a man laying on the ground outside a home with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers conducted CPR until medics arrived and took the man to Harborview Medical Center.

"Officers spoke to a man inside the home and took him into custody while the investigation continues."

No other information has been released.
