Man arrested for vehicular homicide after passenger killed in Seattle crash

SEATTLE -- Police are investigating a deadly crash early Monday that left a man dead.

Officers were called shortly before 2 a.m. to a two-car head-on collision near NW Market St & NW 55th St.

The passenger in the first car, a 34-year-old man, was critically injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center where he later died.

Police evaluated the 22-year-old driver of the first car and said he showed signs of impairment. He was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries and was being booked into King County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide.

The driver of the second car was not seriously hurt.

The Traffic Collision Investigation Squad is still investigating.
