Bike-riding car prowl perp: Help identify female crook who took criminal stroll through apartment mailroom, parking lot

BIKEWANTED IN SEATTLE --
Car prowls are out of control in Seattle right now, but you can fight back and help get one of them locked up.

Seattle detectives are hoping you can help identify this thief who took a nice, casual stroll through an apartment complex with her eyes on the prize.

"She gets into an apartment complex and you'll see her wheeling her bike in, she comes in through the lobby and she's obviously looking around and she spots two packages on the ground,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “She walks over and looks at both of them. She decides she's going to take the top one, so she picks it up, walks with her bike and then you see her disappear out of sight. Next thing you'll see is the bike is being wheeled into a parking garage and she's down there and she's wheeling her bike around and then if you watch real close she's actually going to physically break into one of the vehicles. You'll see her go up to the vehicle, she's looking around, then all of a sudden she's in the backseat, so obviously the vehicle's unlocked, which is not a good thing. Then she removes a case and another item. She puts them over her back, she goes over, gets on her bike and she leaves."

Her reddish-purplish hair matches the color of her bike's handlebars.

Detectives also want you to pay close attention to her camouflage-style backpack with those big, bright orange stripes.

If you can tell Seattle Police her name, call an anonymous tip into:
