Local family who lost soldier overseas benefits from WA Open Pro-Am in Kent

Krista Simpson talks about the well-known phrase "It Takes a Village" - and how it's actually true.

Krista is a beneficiary of Folds of Honor, a charity that provides scholarships to families who have lost a loved one serving their country. The Washington Open Pro-Am at Meridian Valley Country Club in Kent raised about $60,000 for the charity.

Krista's husband, Michael, was a Green Beret from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, who died from injuries sustained in Afghanistan. Her two sons will benefit from Folds of Honor, thanks to scholarships provided for them.
