62-year-old bicyclist hit, seriously injured when struck by driver in Ravenna neighborhood



SEATTLE -- A 62-year-old cyclist was seriously injured Wednesday after he was struck by a driver in the Ravenna neighborhood, Seattle Police said.

At about 1 p.m.,  the cyclist was reportedly crossing Northeast 70th Street when he was struck by a car traveling southbound on 25th Avenue NE.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

The driver involved in the collision stopped at the scene and was contacted by police, the SPD said. Police evaluated the driver and found no signs of impairment, the SPD added.

Detectives are investigating the case.
