Worried pizza delivery driver credited with helping save life of regular customer

SALEM, Ore. -- A pizza delivery driver in Oregon helped save the life of a regular customer who he hadn't heard from  in eleven days.

KPTV reports Tracey Hamblen thought it was very unusual that he hadn't heard from Kirk Alexander, a customer who suffers health issues and makes regular orders with Domino's.

Hamblen became concerned and decided to call the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say that call may have saved Alexander's life.

Deputies say they responded to his home in Salem and heard a man calling out for help. They forced their way into the home and found Alexander on the ground and in need of medical care.

"The (Marion County) Sheriff's Office would like to personally thank Mr. Hamblen for his quick actions and willingness to take time out of his day to care for others," according to a sheriff's office statement.

Alexander was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition on Monday, KPTV reports.
