Seattle Sounders spend day with military at JBLM

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Sounders have spent their day off visiting with soldiers and touring Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The majority of the Sounders roster was present on Monday at the military base about an hour south of the team's practice facility. The players took part in formal and informal meetings with military personnel and toured parts of the base.

Some players posted pictures to social media touring a C-17 aircraft and later met with the 1st Special Forces Group where they had the opportunity to try out night-vision goggles in a darkened container and pose for pictures with various weapons.
