Driver seriously hurt in two-car crash near Maple Valley

MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. -- One driver had to be airlifted after a serious two-car crash Monday morning near Maple Valley.

The King County Sheriff's Office said 276th Ave SE was closed while they investigated the crash which was first reported around 7 a.m. The road was back open by 10 a.m., deputies said.

Deputies said both cars ended up in a ditch next to the road.

The other driver suffered only minor injuries.
