Oregon nurse accused of sexually abusing female patients

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Beaverton police have arrested a former Kaiser nurse for criminal mistreatment and sexual abuse. The 37-year-old nurse was arrested Friday night. He is accused of victimizing female patients who came to a Kaiser Permanente clinic for medical treatment.

Police say the investigation of Alex Matthew Woolner started with allegations that he abused his position for having contact with the woman, both physical and verbal, which was sexual in nature. Police say he also subjected the woman to an unnecessary and intrusive exam.

During the investigation, additional victims were identified. Police believe more victims may be out there. Detectives are asking anyone who was seen by Alex Woolner at Kaiser Permanente and feel they have information that is pertinent to the investigation, to call the Beaverton police department.
