Woman walking baby in stroller becomes victim of road rage attack

BREMERTON, Wash. -- A woman walking with her baby in a stroller was the victim of a brutal attack.

Bremerton police are calling it a shocking case of 'road rage.'

Police say a driver blew through a crosswalk the couple was in with their baby in a stroller, nearly hitting them. This happened Saturday near 11th and Callow Avenue. Police say words were exchanged. The driver followed them down the street, where he got out of his truck and attacked Michelle Harvey, punching her repeatedly in the face and choking her nearly unconscious. ""When the dude started doing what he was doing to me my fiance came up and was trying to get him off of me, trying to pull him off and everything else that he could and that wasn't even really working. It was horrible. It really was."

Detectives say the attacker drove off after other people driving by started honking their horns.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40's with short, graying hair.

His vehicle was described as an older silver or light blue Ford Bronco or Chevy Blazer-type SUV with primer on the driver's side and a rust spot on the tailgate.
