3 men killed in 3 shootings in Yakima area

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Three men were killed in in separate shootings in the Yakima area over three days.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that a man believed to be 19 years old was shot Sunday afternoon in Yakima. Few details about that slaying were immediately available.

On Saturday, a 26-year-old man died after being shot outside a motel in Yakima. Authorities say the man was killed after someone got out of a vehicle and opened fire after speaking briefly with the victim.

On Friday, a 24-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Union Gap. In the Friday slaying, police arrested a man after a chase that ended when the driver pulled over.
