Graham Fire & Rescue fights flames at two houses, paramedics injured in ambulance crash

GRAHAM, Wash. -- While Graham firefighters were busy fighting flames at two abandoned houses on Saturday, an ambulance was involved in a three-vehicle crash.

Graham Fire and Rescue says the medic unit was headed to one of the house fires Saturday morning when the medic truck was hit head on.

Troopers said a pickup truck rear-ended a car, causing it to cross over into oncoming traffic and colliding with the medic truck.

Five people, including the paramedics, were taken to a nearby hospital.

Graham Fire and Rescue says their personnel have been treated and released. The others have minor injuries.

Both house fires were extinguished after extensive structural damage.

An investigation continues into how they were ignited. Fire investigators consider both suspicious.

Graham Fire also took to social media on Saturday night to thank neighboring agencies for stepping in to help.
