Police search for suspect after shooting captured on ‘Facebook Live’ video stream

CHICAGO — Video posted on Facebook appears to show a brazen shooting in Chicago that left a man in critical condition.

The 31-year-old man was taking part in a "Facebook Live" video Thursday afternoon -- recording himself and streaming the video on his Facebook page.

He was standing outside a store at 55th and Hoyne in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood when the shooting happened.

A screen capture of the video shows a person with a gun after shots were fired.

The video appears to show several rounds fired as the man tumbles to the ground. He was hit multiple times and taken to the hospital where he was fighting for his life, according to WGN.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member.

Detectives say they are following up on leads.
