Injured woman found on Bellevue bike path; police searching for hit-and-run driver



BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a cyclist was injured on a Bellevue bike path Wednesday morning.

Someone found the 51-year-old North Bend woman around 6 a.m. on a bike path near 118th Ave SE under Interstate 90. It's unclear how long she had been there before she was discovered.

Police say the cyclist was traveling eastbound on the Lake-to-Lake bike path and was crossing 118th Ave SE at a marked crosswalk when she was struck and thrown 100 feet.

She suffered serious injuries and medics took her to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
