Emmy-winning 'L.A. Law' actor Larry Drake dies at 66

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Emmy Award-winning actor Larry Drake of "L.A. Law" fame has died.


Drake's longtime friend, Charles Edward Pogue, said the actor was found dead Thursday in his Los Angeles-area home by another friend.

The cause of Drake's death was not immediately known, but he had suffered from health problems, said his agent, Steven Siebert.

Drake won Emmys in 1988 and 1989 for his portrayal of the mentally challenged character Benny Stulwicz in "L.A. Law." His credits also included the movie "Darkman."
