Man stabbed in Bellingham park, school put on lockdown during search for suspect, police say

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A man was stabbed in the abdomen in the southwest corner of Bellingham's Cornwall Park on Wednesday, police said.

He was rushed to the hospital, but his condition was not immediately known.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-2 Hispanic man with a medium build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and brown shorts, police said.

Police ask that you call 911 if you see the suspect or know anything about the stabbing.

Parkview Elementary School was put on lockdown as a precaution as police and K-9 units search for the suspect.
