Man surrenders after hours-long standoff in Granite Falls area

GRANITE FALLS, Wash. -- Neighbors were evacuated Friday morning near a domestic standoff in the Granite Falls area.

Police and SWAT were called to a home on Crooked Mile Road near SR 92.

Authorities said a man inside of a home there wouldn't let a woman out. They said he had a rifle.



Several hours later, police said the man came out of the home and surrendered. He was taken to jail.

The woman inside the home was not injured.

No further details were released.
