Bill Gates explains why he isn't running for president

SEATTLE - Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is doing a Reddit AMA and answering questions from fans.

He was asked about everything from climate change to his dance skills.

But one of the questions that stood out from the live question and answer chat had to do with the current election cycle.

A user asked the business executive why he isn't running for president.

Here was his response:

"I like my current job at the Foundation better than I would being President. Also I wouldn't be good at doing what you need to do to get elected. I thought Michael Bloomberg was thoughtful about why it didn't make sense for him to try and run even though he is a great executive."

Users quickly responded, saying he would be their number one choice.

One user even asked if he would consider being Vice President.

No response on that one... yet.
