SEATTLE — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Friday that the body found in a wooded area of Woodway is that of Edmonds mom Amy Kennelly.

The body was found Thursday morning, about 100 yards from where Kennelly’s car crashed in the 11000 block of Algonquin Road in Woodway on Monday night.  Police on Monday night found her car, which had been damaged by crashing into a building, but no driver. The car was towed away.

Police began searching for Kennelly, 48, on Tuesday when she was reported missing by her family.

The medical examiner’s office said Friday the cause and manner of her death are pending further investigation.

Police said Thursday that there was no evidence of foul play or that she ended up where she was by any means other than her own, and emphasized there is no reason to believe there’s any danger to the public.
